The Bombay Sweets & Restaurant

We really enjoyed the food when we order from the menu. They seem to cheap out on food quality for buffet items - chicken very fatty and do not rotate some customer favorites into buffet like mixed vegetable curry. Saffron restaurant in Burnaby has a fantastic buffet - great selection and excellent food quality. Suggestion for those who love Indian food!

I sometimes just stop for a quick samosa stop on the way back to work on lunch breaks. But our new thing is to stop there every wed for the dinner for 2 (to go) and 10% discounts on wed. The food has always been good everytime we go. Staff is always very very and friendly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a great dinner.kat in maple ridge

This restaurant is almost always empty BUT don't be deceived by that. In fact, the food is SO GOOD here, my husband and I are absolutely baffled why this place isn't jam packed 24/7. My husband and I have had Indian food at so many different restaurants in Vancouver, and this restaurant makes the BEST Indian food. PERIOD. No comparison - this place is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!! The food here is so unbelievably delicious and fresh! It is so incredibly tasty and authentic that my husband and I eat here every week or every other week. The restaurant staff are very friendly and always courteous and professional. We have had a number of different dishes here, and our most favorite ones (and I HIGHLY recommend you try them too) are:- Malai Kofta- Butter Chicken- Eggplant Bahrta - Garlic NaanSO SO SO SO SO DELICIOUS!!!! Once you eat here, you'll never want to go to any other Indian restaurant again.

We have eaten at this restaurant now called "Taj BOMBAY Restaurant" a number of times over the past few years and tonight for the first time at its new location since Dec/13 - #1, 11968 - 223rd St., Maple Ridge, B.C. Phone: (604) 476-2228.This is the best East Indian food restaurant that we have ever eaten at, bar none in any other city in Canada or the U.S. Exquisite tasting fresh food - best lamb ever, best rice palo & garlic nan bread! Very friendly owner and service, with a loyal customer following.We always order the Lamb Masala & the Lamb Vindaloo, because it is our favorite although all the other food looks great too. Great samosas at a great price. Although the menu is reasonably priced, most often you can get $10.00 off the price of a meal when buying two by going online at their website or finding coupons in the local newspapers. Some customers may not know of their new location, so we had to take the time to tell everyone where they now are. We were heartbroken to initially find another restaurant at their former location, but now estatic to find out that they have reopened elsewhere, a few blocks further east.Good luck to the owners in their new location, and here's hoping that their former customers, as well as many new ones find them. It's a win-win situation for all !

I often stop by for the 1.50/2 samosas take out deal. I buy eight, and just bring them home to snack on for the rest of the week. The buffet is very good too, I can't get enough.It's always nearly empty inside, and I don't know why. They stay in business though, and that's what counts! PS, Sweets are great too.
