Gloria's Lounge - Maple Valley

I tried repeatedly, like about 7 or 8 times, to inquire about a gig for our band (and it 's a far better band than most of the ones they have, and we 'll probably work cheaper), and every single time the owner/manager was too busy to talk to me, and never once returned the call. Believe it or not, this really pissed me off. She was one of these managers who 's too important to actually do any work. The place was a horrible filthy dump, but the last thing she 'd ever do was just clean it up. The toilets didn 't even flush. Eating there was a traumatic experience. I watched a party of 4 come in, sit there for 30 minutes, and then leave when nobody even waited on them. Needless to say, I 'm glad they went out of business. I sure hope the new place has nothing to do with this person if they want to succeed. I hope they can accept a polite, well meaning call from a professional musician looking for a gig, who might also be, a potential customer. We will see...

Ordered my daughter a French Dip off the adult menu as we call it, told her I would share with her because the kids menu had little on in to choose from. I had only really wantwd the salad I ordered but knew my daughter would feel bad if she ordered a huge meal knowing she wouldn 't eat it all. Anyway, they charged me $1.00 for a split plate when they didn 't even split it, they served it to us all on one plate wit a side plate that was too hott for me to even touch no side dish for the au jus. Just couldn 't even believe it, it will be the absolute last time we go there.

I once liked Glorias. But suddenly the prices jumped, the quality of service dropped, and the food remained largely the same. Cafe quality food, overpriced, and totally underwhelming.

Love this place : karaoke and ladies night on Friday (1/2 price! And they have live bands every Saturday. Plus the free pool and popcorn all week.

The new owner of Gloria's has ignited a spark. The service is better, the staff is happier. He's already made changes behind the scenes and there is a new energy to Gloria's. The food tastes better too.
