We crave pizza often in our household. Pizza Champ is our new go-to if we're looking to splurge a little. You're paying for quality ingredients and inventive pies. So far, we've only tried the 2x pepperoni, and I'd put this up any high-end pizza in the area. A regular pie fed two average sized adults 2x over. I don't think I'd ever been so excited to eat leftover pizza the next day in my life.
Good amount of toppings and overall flavor. Crust is tough and sauce overly salty. Rather order up Pointers
Disappointing. I really wanted to like this pizza and feel like I 've given it a lot of chances, but alas, it is disappointing. I tried Pizza Champ 's pizza previously Elmwood at the start of the pandemic and fell in love, and thought it rivaled some of the best pizza in the city. It used to have wonderful pillowy crust, lots of cheese, and lots of flavor in sauce and ingredients. When it transitioned to Pizza Champ I wanted to give it a chance. However, as time has gone by, it 's clear it has gone down on quality and it will not improve. They switched the Extra Cheese for a regular cheese pizza NOT extra as advertised with a dollop of sauce on top ??? . On the other pizzas, there is hardly any cheese or sauce. My last pizza pepperoni was overdone, basically burnt, and dry. Also, it 's labeled as Triple Pepperoni but mine has clearly lost a bunch of the pepperonis, as there used to be so many more. There used to be a reason they named their pizzas with extra and triple. We ordered the ranch I would not even call it ranch as it 's more of a dill sauce extremely heavy on the dill , and does not complement the pizzas.I 'm not sure what went wrong if they tried expanding too quickly or if there was a change in management but I think they need to go back to the roots of what they started at the beginning of the pandemic. That pizza was bomb.
I love this wood fired pizza we had the supreme. Great crust with a nice flavor and chewy texture. The toppings were a bit unique but the kale was actually really good and smoky. The chopped salad with pistachios was good with many toppings and flavors. And the celebration cannolis were a fun ending crumbly, for sure, but colorful and the filling was awesome. We'll definitely be back need to try the other salad and the mushroom pizza!
