The Able Baker - Maplewood

This is the best bakery and coffee shop in New Jersey! The only downside is that they close early on weekends, at 6 PM.

Charming neighborhood bakery featuring outstanding coffee, freshly baked biscuits, and delicious scones and cakes. The ambiance feels like stepping onto a movie set, complete with vintage kitchen tables from the 30s, 40s, and 50s that complement the nostalgic music playing in the background.

We live in Denver, CO, and we visit this bakery almost every day while we’re in Maplewood, NJ, to see our son Nathan and his family. They have the best gluten-free products we’ve ever had!

Able Baker is a happy place. The food is amazing and I love that you can see the people bake in the back. It is a warm, cozy and funny neighborhood bakery.
