Chichilo - Mar del Plata

This is a good place for fresh seafood. My choice was the fish of the day cooked la plancha.... on the grill. It was fresh, perfectly cooked and served. Nothing to complain. This is a place where no one is hungry. Be ready to stand in line to come and prepare for the noise. Even with a whole house, the servers didn't miss a beat. The tiramisu is made at home and excellent.

I had very few experiences with seafood in restaurants that cook so well and especially so fresh. We enjoyed roasted Calamari rolls that were cooked for perfection. Congratulations! Next time in Mar del Plata we will repeat the experience.

We went there for lunch on Christmas day when many restaurants were closed. We had the Picado de mariscos, a salad and a big beer. I thought it was excellent, fresh delicious seafood and friendly service. Value for money.

I went there on Wednesday noon when several restaurants are closed. It has a floor with waiter and upstairs you have self service. I went for the service area. We asked for Paella and we left almost the whole plate. Probably the worst I have in my life. The staff was friendly, but the food was so bad that we really only had the fried rabas (so so) and the bread and the butter. I can't say much more.

Fish and seafood are really good, but their frying comes out a bit too oily. When they tell you portions are enough to be shared they are not kidding, they´re really abundant!!
