Three Bear Inn - Marathon

Congratulations to the new owners, Megan and Alex! The motel is fantastic and offers great value for the price. It’s clean and comfortable, with handicap-accessible rooms available. Tiffany is wonderful and adds to the experience. Marathon is a charming little village with everything you might need, including restaurants, fast food, and activities, all just 15 minutes away. Be sure to visit Gregg’s Market to buy some carrots to feed the nearby horses, and keep an eye out for the Amish horse-drawn carts!

The original Three Bear Inn was worthy of five stars. Unfortunately, the new owners who recently took over and closed the restaurant seem to have little understanding of basic customer service. They have difficulty returning phone calls, and when they do answer, their professionalism is lacking; they even forget to say thank you at the end of conversations. People with this attitude shouldn't be in business. Their behavior raises significant concerns and suggests they may be on the path to failure!

I've been visiting The Three Bear for nearly 40 years, and I have to say that Sharon Toussaint has done an incredible job with the place! The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable. The bar is excellent, and the dining experience is fantastic. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and you’re likely to bump into the owner, Sharon, as she seems to be there all the time. She’s a wonderful, down-to-earth woman!

The original Three Bear Inn truly deserves a five-star rating. However, the new owners who recently took over and have temporarily closed the restaurant come across as quite unprofessional. They seldom return phone calls, and when they do respond, they don't conduct the conversations appropriately or even show appreciation for the call. People like this shouldn’t be part of the hospitality industry. Their lack of professionalism is troubling and raises doubts about their potential for success.

This is a wonderful place to stay overnight. The room was spotless, the shower worked flawlessly, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I will certainly come back if I'm in the area again. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Peaceful, Great value.
