Invited to join a large work group function. Has been a consistent performer over many years and remains so with a warm atmosphere for a large venue; great service and delicious Italian style menu made for a wonderful event. A little pricey but otherwise could not be faulted.
The very First time We went to Mammas Was when they were down near the Belvedere [Ages ago ] we went in with our Young Son in a Pram and was made to feel very unwelcome However we have been to the Restaurant At Margate On two other occasions for Friends Birthday parties and the rudesness still prevails its almost like they are doing you a favour by serving you and i would Highly NOT recommend this Restaurant which is in the old Pizza Hut Building
Our second visit to Mamma's at Margate and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent and friendly. We were given a table that was in a draft and even though the restaurant was busy not a problem to move us to a more comfortable place. Ordering was easy and courses came with a reasonable gap between - we were not rushed. Serving sizes reflected the prices charged - good value for money and very tasty. Wonderful variety of meals to choose from and all very fresh. We will be back!
We have been loyal customers of Mamma's for many years, even when it was located at Woody Point. The only noticeable change is the increase in prices. The staff are pleasant, especially the young man who served us, and the food was enjoyable, though slightly too salty for my taste. The menu offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes, such as pizzas, pastas, and other main courses. The portion sizes are generous, but the prices may be a bit high. While Mamma's is a reliable choice for classic Italian fare, it could benefit from introducing some more innovative options. Overall, the Penne Alla Vodka remains a personal favorite.
