Barrels - MARGATE CITY

We made a reservation and arrived at the appointed time. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation we said yes. They asked if we were the party of 15 and we said no. They then said that they would seat us as soon as there was an available table. The restaurant is small so the reserved table for 15 took up a little under half of the available seating. All of the other tables appeared to be less than halfway done with their meals. I was reminded of the Seinfeld skit in which he reserves a rental car but the agency does not have a car for him when he arrives. Bottom line if you don't want to search for the video),: we left and went down the street to Boca coal fired grill where we were sat promptly without a reservation and the food was delicious. Also worth noting that Barrels does not serve alcohol. This is fine if you are expecting it and plan ahead. Hello, Hello... You 're missing out. If you are like me, you may have been driving past this place for years. I will be putting Barrels on my Must eats list when in Margate. I hope you feel the same. Very large portion, fresh salads, great appetizers. BYOB, no corking fee. The place is small and very clean. You must try this place, and please let me know what you think. Service was horrible , sat for 30 minutes and waitress never came and waited over an hour for my food and it wasn't even that good.
