Del Monte Asian Market - Marina

I made an impromptu stop for hotpot and went to the Korean market next door, but they were nearly out of produce, so I decided to check out this store instead. I'm really glad I did! They had a great selection of fresh, appealing fruits and vegetables. The dried noodle section was extensive as well, with plenty of gluten-free options available. The man at the checkout was polite and seemed very friendly, which was a nice surprise considering some of the reviews I've read. There's a strong smell in the market, but to me, it's just the typical aroma of an Asian market—perhaps it comes from the fresh meat and seafood area at the back. Just keep in mind, it won't smell like a typical grocery store. Lol.

Absolutely love it! They have an excellent selection of spices, sauces, noodles, and fresh produce to help you whip up delicious meals. The staff here is really friendly too. With these two markets in the strip mall, you can save yourself a trip to San Jose or San Francisco; they pretty much have everything you could want, except for sushi and sashimi.

Great prices! The store has really improved and feels much cleaner. It's been a while since my last visit, but each time I go, it feels upgraded.

Be cautious with the scale and pricing! I had heard rumors about this place being dishonest, so I've always watched the scale closely. Today, my suspicions were confirmed when I noticed an issue. When I confronted the staff about it, they claimed I had misunderstood. I decided to walk away and will not be returning.

The only good Asian grocery store in Marina. They usually have fresh produce and seafood at fair prices, and the staff is friendly. I do wish they offered a broader selection of Japanese and Korean products. Nevertheless, there's something here for everyone’s taste.
