Produce prices are substantially higher than you'll find in a grocery store but the quality is higher as well. The only thing this market was missing was a local coffee purveyor to set up shop and offer hot beverages. Everyone here was super friendly and all the food options looked fantastic!
This review is about ten months overdue. The Marina Sunday Market is a highlight of my week. I purchase my fresh vegetables and fruit from the regularly. Always super fresh produce at a fraction of the cost I would pay elsewhere. Often there is a bakery there, with fresh bread, muffins, cookies and treats. The actual bakery has changed a few times in the past year but there is always someone there to fulfill my carb needs! And the Hummus Guy is always there faithfully every Sunday. Amazing hummus of every flavor you could imagine. Super fresh and amazingly delicious. There is a variety of food trucks as well!
Open air fresh veggie shopping is a perfect project, in recovering from Covid pandemic isolation. Senior citizens should especially get out, get moving (exercise), get retail therapy benefits happening in your brain and bodies. Plus, support local business with healthy purchases.
Great selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. Farmers are super nice and fair with prices
I am so happy this Farmer's Market is up and runnin full force again. Masks are of course required! The time of year really is what determines what you will find. today I was looking for some bok choy and napa cabbage to make my soup for the week. Of course my favorite hummus was there too. They food truck situation has definitely increased since I started coming here. Pricey food, but...I am sure delicous. COVID has really struck hard a lot of folks in the restaraunt industry. If I wasn't trying to lose the last COVID 15, I would have been buying some delicous smelling bbq, or a $10 plate of tacos with bean and rice. Not this lady! I did try a juice from the juice vendor. A pineapple spinach mix with a splash of guava. SOOO refreshing! Their name is Tostilocos. It was $7 for the beverage, but it is sooooo good. And I will most likely treat it like a meal, it is that large. I don't usually go for the green drinks, but he offered me a sample and it was hot, and I was thirsty, sooooo. Now I am happy. They also have boba that appears fairly popular as I always see loads of peeps drinking it. It is a small market, but very doable and worth stopping by. Cheers and happy Yelping!!
