The restaurant has a patio with lots of seating & a beautiful fountain. We chose to sit inside this time but i would definitely sit outside another time. It would be nice even to just sit on the patio & have drinks. The restaurant is owned by 2 brother who both have considerable experience in the food industry. The 2 brothers came back and forth chatting with use throughout the night discussing the menu, past experiences in the industry, suggested food & drink items etc....The 2 brothers were so delightful. All the staff were extremely pleasant. There is an extensive menu & it took us awhile to order. The waiter asked if we wanted drinks, i just had water but one of the brothers suggested a mango Indian beer to my friend which she really enjoyed. We started with vegetable samosas. The samosas were 2 for $5. I usually get my samosas from Samosa King ( which i love ) and there samosas are 5 for $1 so i thought it seemed a little expensive but thought i would give them a try. Well i have had a lot of samosas from a lot of different place and I have never had samosas like this before,. They were SO DELICIOUS. Definitely worth the $5. Next we had another appetizer of Pani Puri. These were little puffy bowls of delight. They were so flavourful it was like a party of spices in my mouth. Next we had garden fresh vegetable Korma. This was also very flavourful. I am not a vegetarian but i could have had the vegetarian apps and the vegetable Korma and been completely satisfied, For a main we also ordered the Chicken Bum Briyani and some garlic Naan. Both of which were very good. I took the leftovers home and had enough for my dinner the next night. Every dish that past our table smelt wonderful and i don't think we could have pick a dish we would not have enjoyed. It was an highly enjoyably and reasonably priced meal. We will definitely be back.
This is our new favorite restaurant in Markham. The Lamb Biryani is so amazing that I love it and I don't even like lamb. We try and go at least 2-3 times per month or more because the flavors, the spices keep calling you back. And this is not spicy hot this is flavor at it's best - 39 spices in fact. They can make it hot but why over power perfection. We will order $60-70 worth of food, enough for 6-8 hungry people, including wine so that we can bring most of it home for at least 2 more meals. Butter chicken - perfect, My wife loves the tandoori fish, jalfrezi vegetables, other curries. The indian beer on tap is good, the house wine is good and at a good price. People are very friendly as well they welcome you,
We tried 39 Spices for the first time and decided to go for the luncheon buffet ($11.98) . The food was very tasty, not a big selection but what was available was very good such as butter chicken, goat curry, chili chicken, tandoori chicken, dhal, vegetable, paneer curry, rice dumpling, vegetable & lentil dish, rice, various chutneys, and great basket of naan. (halal meat) Right on Main Street just north of Hwy 7. Parking behind building and on street parking as well. Accessible. They have a large patio plus ample indoor seating.Friendly service .
I came for the lunch buffet which came up to $13.55 per person. I love the naan and goat curry, Nice servers. The interior is dated. The only downside is there was no air conditioning and it was boiling in there,
I went to this restaurant to partecipate to a Rotary meeting. Dinner was served here and I enjoyed very nice Indian food. Their curries were good, man and tandoori chicken also good.
