Bluenose Fish & Chips - Markham

It was a toss up between trying this place, or Halibut House across the street(ish,) and based on the reviews I decided on Bluenose.

This place is horribleThe rude owner and waitress refused to give us extra side plates so we could share our meal with our kids.

Wonderful Halibet and Chips. Great ambience and Staff. Dinner served promptly and hot. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Decent fish and chips. Nice cozy family mom n pop feeling. My waitress was great a cute little old lady.

Although the food here is quite good, I am at times at a loss to explain the front of house attitude that some staff possess. The staff can be abrasive and reluctant to fulfill the most basic of special requests, to an almost unnerving level., where you find yourself holding your breath when you order. The food is good, from the fish and chips to the souvlaki, no problem there, but they should put staff out front that can engage clients in a manner that is consistent with excellence in customer service.
