The menu has changed quite a bit (from what I remember, they change the menu rather frequently). I absolutely loved the salmon burger that I ordered. My only complaint was that there was too little burger and too much fries! I loved the bun that they used for the salmon burger and the filling was extremely saucy and flavorful. The fries on the side were excellent as well. Everyone at our table also loved what they ordered and service was excellent.
I decided to go to this restaurant on Canada Day. I made a reservation a week before and they were full so good thing I did. The staff were very friendly and service was very good. They were attentive without going overboard. None of us had drinks. We all tried different meals. For appetizers we have the drunken crustaceans and the tacos. I sampled both and preferred the drunken crustaceans. For dinner I had the chicken and waffles, delicious. My hubby had the short ribs and he enjoyed them. The couple we were with
I was excited when I found this place. Cute inside and inspired menu but execution of said menu was off point. Had the duck confit frites which was served barely warm in a huge heaped mound of stuck together fries and a couples pieces of slim chipped duck. It was dry and flavourless. I followed with the chicken and steak waffle. Huge portion which would make a starving man happy but the steak was over cooked, not medium rare as suggested. The fried chicken was ok but the syrup and sweetness of the dish was way too much to stomach. The waffle became soggy and just to sweet for a main course dish. My friends ordered the short ribs and felt the same way about their dishes. We will not return which is sad because there was so much hope for this place
Sunday brunch & decided to try something new. Ventured up to Markham - Main Street - for something different. If you follow my reviews, you know I stay mainly in Toronto. This did NOT disappoint. Beautiful ambience, and a small menu - I love small menus. It means that these are really what they specialize in! We had as an appetizer the Pulled Pork Frites. If you go, trust me, get a plate, and dig it. Tremendous appetizer!!! We all decided to try the Chicken Waffles, and these were delicious. I brought home the leftovers - the portion was HUGE - and family devoured as well. I recommend the fried egg on top, as it just added to the flavour. A definite must try place, but book reservations, as it can get pretty busy.
We went to Inspire last night, deciding to stay close to home, and couldn't be happier with our choice. From the free parking to the super-friendly and knowledgeable staff it started great. The decor was unique, inviting, but not trying too hard. The food was the best part - as it should be - fresh & delicious lettuce wraps, delicious entrees of udon carbonara and prime beef on coconut rice, and ridiculous dessert of Cap'n Crunch white chocolate brownie waffle ice cream sandwich. You read that right. DEFINITELY coming back!
