It was only $62 (originally $90) since it was a promo which looks to still be available as of the time of posting. There's a good mix of sashimi, sushi and maki rolls and the premium pieces were the uni sushi, scallop and sweet shrimp sashimi. The fish was fresh and the portions are very generous with thick cuts of sashimi (almost too big tbh). In terms of improvement, some of the rolls were a bit sloppy and loose in how they were rolled, and the rice was a touch too vinegar-y and overcooked. This is primarily a takeout spot but there are a few high top tables for you to eat. Service was friendly.
I was looking to try a new restaurant and stumbled upon Sushi Master on SkipTheDishes. This small restaurant is located in the Hwy 7/Kennedy plaza on the southeast corner of the intersection. There were some tables for dine-in if you're not looking to order takeout. I got the Torch Salmon Dragon Maki and Tiger Shrimp (Ebi) Sushi. Took about 35 mins for my order to be ready for pick-up. When I arrived, the staff mentioned she included complimentary soup in my order. Overall, I liked the taste of the torch sushi, it was still hot and fresh when I got a chance to take my first bite. The breading on the tempura shrimp was not as good. In terms of the size of the rolls, they were a little bigger than I would have liked and not cut properly. I would give this place a chance again in the future as they have good customer service.
Not sure how Sushi Master got so many negative reviews, but the last 3 times we have ordered from here we were never dissapointed. Fish is always super fresh and the quality of the rolls are always good. Price is also very fair and they also surprise you with a free item (spicy tuna roll or seaweed salad) when you order with them. Service is a bit slower, but that is because they have so many people ordering from them, you are bound to get a delay in your order. Will definitely be returning as we found it to be a good no frills sushi spot. Also- we've only done take out, but i believe this place is take out only anyways.
Absolutely love this place for my sushis craving. Definitely recommend it, i can add value for money for the great quality of sushis they offer.
Got the sushi/sashimi/maki combo and they gave us a spicy tuna roll for free. Sashimi was fresh. Rolls were mediocre as the rice was hard and did not hold together well. Overall decent value.
