Nanny's - Marksville

Listen if you want good food in a home town atmosphere this is the place! Great value and great food served by friendly people and always someone you know to chat with! Now back to the food!Anything you order will make you happy! My favorite is their hamburger steak and the side salad is always fresh and tasty!This is one of my favorite places in town to eat! Vegetarian options: You can always get a variety to suit your tastes! Wheelchair accessibility: Got to have that for me to eat there!

The wait staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pretty nostalgic. The food is really good and the prices are fair, if maybe a tad on the high side compared to the portion sizes you get.

Fantastic place to eat. Hamburger steak, mashed potatoes and gravy with garlic bread. And grilled pork streaks and French fries and garlic bread and we both got sweet teas.

We have been to Nanny’s many times over the years and have always enjoyed the taste and quality of the food, along with friendly service. However, on this visit, the vegetables were cold, the bread was dry, the gumbo was lukewarm, and all lacked the taste that their food once had. And to top things off, we saw a roach crawling on the floor near our table. Possibly if the food was hot, it would have tasted better. Upon arriving at the noon hour, we noticed that the parking lot had few vehicles, and once inside we saw only two customers. Haven’t been to this restaurant in a couple of years; possibly it is under new management. We very disappointed in our visit to Nanny’s and will not go back.

Not sure what happened to my original review...but n e ways...So my family and I are long time locals, I use to go here every weekend with my folks as a child into my teens, Nanny's holds a lot of precious memories for me, the food is always great and staff are always friendly
