We asked for a pizza with a simple modification—having one of the toppings on just half—but we were told outright, "No, that's too complicated." Even after we clarified that we were willing to pay full price and just preferred it that way, they insisted it wasn't possible. I don't usually get upset about being told "No," especially with my 30 years of experience in the business where I understand that some things just can't be done. However, it was frustrating that, being the first customers there, we were dismissed so quickly when trying to place our order. As a result, we opted not to order anything at all. Aside from that interaction, we had a fantastic time in our own little world playing chess and sampling different local beers.
I visited for the first time yesterday to see Owsley's Owls perform, and it was an incredible day. We enjoyed a selection of beers, which, although limited, offered a nice variety. The pizzas were far superior to anything available in the entire Capital Region of NY, and the staff were fantastic. The venue is very dog-friendly, and as everyone else has mentioned, the view from the deck is breathtaking. It's conveniently located right across the street from a scenic overlook. Huge shoutout to the sound engineer—the band sounded amazing on the outdoor stage.
This is a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner. The view is absolutely breathtaking and unparalleled! You can choose to sit on the patio or inside. We tried the "I'm a Fungi" pizza, and it was delicious, with wonderful flavor and a great crust. There’s a small selection of beers, so there’s something for everyone.
I waited 3 days to come here, since they are only open Thursday to Sunday. Better eat quick, since the hrs of operation are only 3 to 7. Not a typo, 7pm. I rarely ever write reviews, but this was such a negative apres ski experience, i could not keep quiet. First of all, CASH ONLY! Hello, IRS. First brewpub of over 300 i have been to where they literally directed me to an onsite ATM. NO flights. 7 buck beers all served in plastic. 20 buck pizza that came to us burnt.Separate tip jars, cash only, for bartender and pizza guy who burned the pie. Also, bus your own table after you get your own plates, napkins, plasticware. Maybe if the beer was awesome i could overlook this otherwise awful experience, but it was a flat IPA. Disapponted doesnt begin to dascribe this brewpub nightmare.
Good beer Good pizza Great view A little pricey and cash only (the view is worth it) The vibe could be better but I'm not sure that has to do with the staff or venue. The location brings a lot of uppity people and their KIDS. Not fun for a brewery. Place has amazing potential. Add some speakers on the deck. Ditch the plastic cups and just charge a fee for cards like eveyone else. We'll definitely be back
