We left Sunday at 12 am both to look for a little refreshment from the heat and to try the fish that is told to be very good, despite the 850mt of altitude of the local: extremely satisfied on both fronts, also it was not even too crowded and the service was fast, highly recommended

I stayed in this quaint mountain village, because it is where my grandparents lived before immigrating to America. It being so remote, I was worried about finding a place to eat. What a great surprise to find an outstanding restaurant across from our B&B. We ate there for lunch and twice for dinner. The best one was when we showed up for Thursday night dinner. It seemed that the townspeople eat a set three course meal that night. We had a first course of spaghetti with a choice of tomato sauce or olive oil and peppers. The second course was sausages and French fries. The info about Serra Pistoiese, says they have a French fry festival! For dessert, we were served a yummy apple cake that I had smelled baking, when I had sat in front that afternoon. They have WiFi so a lot townsfolk gather at the tables outside, during the day. I don’t speak Italian, but it was a joy to watch them interact and it made me feel special just being there.
