Sugar Plum Shoppe - Marlow

I ordered my daughter's wedding cake and a besen cheesecake from the Sugar Plum Shoppe in Marlow, OK, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The wedding cake was excellent—moist and fresh—and the groom's cake, a key lime with raspberry topping, was delicious. They also collaborated with Scott's Flowers in Lawton for the cake topper, and both businesses were very professional. I highly recommend them! My only regret is that I live 8 hours away, so I won't be able to use their services again.

We received everything we ordered and more. The cake was not only delicious but also beautiful. The groom's cake exceeded our expectations, and by the end of the reception, there was none left!

**Review:** I have some advice for anyone ordering a cake: make sure you have someone present who knows how your cake is supposed to look. My experience was incredibly disappointing. I had ordered a cake adorned with jewels cascading from the top, and I requested air-brushed silver icing. However, what I received was far from that. When the cake was delivered, it had plain white frosting, and the jewels were still attached to wire. Instead of placing them properly, they simply wrapped them around the cake haphazardly. The staff was in such a rush to deliver the cake before the wedding that they didn't take the time to do it right. Mere minutes after the jewels were placed, they fell off, taking about a quarter of the icing with them! I was shocked by the mess that was left. The only way I could salvage the cake was by strategically placing eight of my roses over the large holes created by the missing icing. It was embarrassing to serve such a poorly decorated cake at my wedding, especially given the $300 price tag. Honestly, my six-year-old niece could have made a better cake from a box mix! To make matters worse, the groom's cake and cupcakes we ordered were the wrong colors. Hot pink and purple are definitely not the same, despite the fact that I had given the owner a sample of the exact color I wanted. If you're looking for a low-quality cake, these people might be the right choice for you. Otherwise, I strongly recommend finding someone else.
