The Marmora Inn

I have had the pleasure of eating at the Marmora inn twice and was shocked at how amazing a place this really is. I moved to Marmora not to long ago and am so happy to have such a wonderful place seconds from my home. If you haven't eaten here you are sadly missing out.

We remembered the sardines appetizer from our earlier visit, and were not disappointed. The seafood rice was Portuguese shellfish at its best. Wonderful service. This is an extraordinary dining experience and a good reason to make the trip to Marmora. My mouth waters..

I have not stayed here overnight, but I have had many delightful, exquisite meals! The owner is a chef from Toronto area, and his creations are a MUST to have! The house has such charm! You can also rent the indoor pool area for parties.....although I did once for a child's birthday party and the owner was a bit uptight so it put a damper on our party. If you are looking for peace and quiet combined with fine dining.....you won't be disappointed!!

We have been to the Marmora Inn several times and enjoyed their very delectable cuisine. There is so much choice on the menu that it is hard to make a selection. We usually all order something different and try each other's meals. But we have never been disappointed in anything. I absolutely loved the cataplana - a Portugese seafood stew - which is even better than we had in Portugal. But my husband loves game and has enjoyed bison and rabbit and duck, all done extremely well. Friends of ours aren't quite so courageous and stick with beef or steak, but again, this has been awesome. What a gem to have in a small community.

The Marmora Inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The staff are very friendly and make you feel like you are at home. The food was amazing. It has a large menu with a wide range of choices. I have eaten here several time and every meal seems to top the last. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend getaway.
