Great choice of nibbles/bar food if you want to share with a few friends whilst having some drinks. Although overall myself and my friends were quite satisfied with everything Peak had to offer, we were very disappointed in our waitress. The girl that that waited on us (long brown hair girl) seemed as though she had a bit of an attitude and felt as though she was trying to “sell” us the food and drinks when we asked about the options rather than tell us the truth. She also wasn’t the most hygienic (looked like she needed to have a shower) which isn’t very nice to have when you are being served food. Will definitely go back, just hope to have a different waitress!
Went here with 2 girlfriends for a catch up last Sunday. Sunday is Happy hour for cocktails and tacos. $10 cocktails + $2 tacos. The fish taco was the best, it was really fresh + loved the crunchy puff like taco shell it came in. Live music + good atmosphere. Staff friendly + happy. Highly recommend.
I love the cocktails here, the music is also good because not much like it on the coast. The bartenders seem to know what they're doing however unless you're a regular / friend of or known to bar staff you'll be in for a long wait for drinks on a fri or sat night because those people will be served first no matter how long (or short) they've been waiting. A good spot but disappointed, management need to follow up with staff about good service protocols.
Margaritas don't have Gin in them.... seriously. Staff can't make cocktails without readinh a recipe for $18 is terrible undrinkable.
We visited for dinner on a rainy night. Staff are very friendly and service is excellent and fast.Good wine list and fast drinks service. Unfortunately whilst the bottled beer is served in a chilled glass, it wasn't cold. Wine was good. The food unfortunately is very much letting them down. Pork scratchings with fennel marmalade were tasteless and poorly presented. Smaller pieces would be much easier to eat. The mushroom croquettes were just mushy (baby food consistency) and lacked any seasoning. The mains were better but served with piping hot meat and cold vegetables. Obviously the plates were prepared with the veg far too early. The pork belly was not crispy on top and in fact was chewy and the rhubarb just doesn't work. It also needed more jus. They should swap out the rhubarb for some chilli. The menu needs a serious revamp. The desserts are a waste of time. Possibly the smallest brownie I have ever seen. Literally gone in one mouth full. The tables don't have salt and pepper on them which is very odd for upmarket dining. Atmosphere was ok but it has almost a warehouse feel which isn't great for a romantic meal. The first thing that hit us when we sat down was the smell of cooking oil. I don't think we would return unless there was a dramatic change to the menu.
