Swagat Indian Restaurant - MAROOCHYDORE

Our meal here was fine. It was presented nicely and well prepared. But, the waitress seem totally disinterested in her work, her eyes were looking elsewhere when serving patrons and her voice was flat - it made our visit here average to say the least. We would get a take-away from here, but would be reluctant to dine in.

With friends visiting from the Gold Coast, who love Indian food, trying to decide on a venue for dinner wasn't easy. So glad we decided to give Swagat a try. The service was excellent as was the food and to top it off the price very reasonable. As we took our own wine we couldn't complain about the $2/Head corkage either. Try this restaurant if you like good Indian food, you won't be disappointed.

We normally have takeaway from Swagat but this time we visited with my daughter and boyfriend to determine the best of two Indian restaurants in the area and Swagat won hands down. Nothing ever changes just great food.

I come to this restaurant all the time with different people and every person I've brought here wants to come back.Meals are top quality, affordable and include rice. Naan is awesome. If you have a large group, the banquet option is a good deal (minimum 4 people I think).It is the best Indian restaurant I've been to. Definitely go, you won't be disappointed.

We had visited Swagat before and the fact that we have such a wide range of terrific establishments on the Sunshine Coast from which to choose, we had forgotten about our first experience here which was really impressive. Their service is a bit laid back but good. We went on a Monday night and there was only one person waiting and handling take aways, but she handled it quite well. Their food is really lovely, from the Calamari Fritters and Meat Samosas to their beautiful breads and curries. We thought the Lamb Rogan Josh was a standout and absolutely packed with tender morsels of lamb. Often there is more curry than meat; not the case here. I like a fairly big meal and this was more than enough for the two of us, especially after having a Samosa, some Calamari fritters and a bread between us.We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a fan of good Indian Cuisine and will be returning with a group of friends.
