Feedback gevenMostly locals. 3 floors plus small terrace. Simple menu, cheap prices. Fantastic lamb tanjia (their speciality), you only get the fork, no knife, meat falls off from the bone . 500 gr 75 MAD.
This is a 7 stars restaurants for the only and only one reason: Their underground baked lamb meat It’s a to die for delicacy Give a try and you will be back for more You will make marrakech your favorite spot just for their meat Try the lamb head too
Hammam’s do heat with fire. The hot ashes is used by local families to cook meat in clay pots. Meat is mixed with olive oil and lemon and slow cooked over night in the hot cole. Result is super soft and tasty meat , a dish called Tanjia. Take bread, dunk in sauce and eat with a piece of meat . No dork needed . This is the place to taste it in Marrakech .
Old medina branch is closed for renovations, go to the other branch in gueliz but know it is crowded.
This is the best place in Marrakech for Mechoui. The tea is great too. On the other hand, Tanjia is average at best and the salad is tasteless. The place is nothing fancy, hygiene is sub-par, but I would definitely recommend the place for Mechoui. You have to be here early a they run out of meat in the afternoon.
