Ihop - Marrero

My mother and I decided to visit this IHOP tonight, and I must say, we had a fantastic experience. Our waiter was truly excellent, and the kitchen staff did an outstanding job with the pancakes and everything we ordered. The restaurant has had its ups and downs, and there weren't many customers tonight, but I figured that might be typical for a Sunday evening. I've heard mixed reviews about this place; it's a bit hit or miss. Fortunately, we experienced the good side of things tonight. If you’re in the mood for a solid IHOP experience, I recommend checking out the one in Harvey on Manhattan Boulevard.

If they manage to find even a halfway decent staff member who isn’t as lazy as the current team, they don’t seem to last long. The atmosphere here is loud and chaotic, and it honestly feels like the doors should be permanently closed. I heard that my server is going to be promoted soon, which seems like a significant misstep. They couldn’t keep our orders straight, and we constantly had to ask for simple things like syrup and condiments! The food was subpar, and if the service had been at least decent, I might have left a 15% tip. Get it together, IHOP!
