Freshies Mars Hill

The store is ok. But for some reason the store is always closing 5 minutes early. In my years of customer service you close at the closing time not before. It’s false advertising, but apparently that’s how they operate around here!

They’ve always pointed me to the freshest pot of coffee. That’s all that matters when I visit there. Couldn’t ask for a better cup of Joe when out in the middle of nowhere.

The pizza they made was not good or done good at all an embarrassment if you ask me.

This is a brand New Store great location nice set up! However i can only give 2 stars because their bathrooms are always a mess and many times you stop in for a hot dog or slice of pizza and there are none made. Also this place replaced what used to be Shell/Mars Hill Truck stop which had a diesel fuel island for trailer trucks plus parking but they decided to do away with both and considering Mars Hill is a town with many truck Brokers on Main St potato houses around the corner and Pineland Farms production plant a mile or so up the road and McCains and JM Huber 20 minutes north many Truckers are now left with no place to park when they are out of time or waiting on a load

We were glad to find Freshies. The main diner in the town was not open and we didn 't want to go to the local bar. Hubby was looking for pizza. I was looking for salad. All of a sudden I saw the sign Pizza and Salad . Well there! We drove right in. We got what we each wanted and the service was great, the food was good, and the price was right. Can 't beat that. Don 't miss it as it is a part of a gas station but right in front of the grocery store in town.
