A very busy bar with lunch and dinner. complained to find a table without reservation. On a Friday walk we decided for an early lunch. The place is hurting people. The bar occupies the pavement in the shade of the trees.... For lunch we had the daily fish with vegetables and Ailoli and the Rigatoni with mussels and mussels. Both were delicious and the bread is excellent. And for drinks a pastis to clear the summer heat!
Drawn to this wine bar by the excellent reviews and we were glad that we followed them. Although the bar is on an uninteresting street and the outdoor seats do not offer sea views or harbour views, the dishes and wines are excellent! The panisse... was particularly remarkable – rustic exteriors and clouds like inside. Addictive. The interior of the bar is both modern and cozy. Obviously a neighborhood lover.
We were recommended by a friend a local to the area in fact, so we made sure to stop by one afternoon. We were on the later side of lunch, around 14:00, so choice was limited the falafel salad or the aioli dish....We both opted for the falafel salad, but the friendly waiter suggested that I must try the aioli... it 's the traditional dish, we have it every Friday, you need to try it! He seemed like a nice guy, i trusted him and went for the aiolo. I 'm glad i did it was like a French Sunday lunch. Soft cooked fish, amazing roasted potatoes and carrots, a boiled egg, creamy, garlicky aioli, broccoli, etc etc it was a delight! To follow, a delicious fig and pear tart with the most buttery crumbly pastry and chantilly cream to die for! I think we were the only tourists there that day, sitting on a table outside the front of the place, which with the sun shining was very pleasant. It 's a little daunting to be surrounded by all these young good looking French people, but we had a lovely waitress who spoke really good English so it put us at ease. As I was paying the bill the other waiters mocked her for being good at English... only French people will mock you for being good at something she said. All in all a pleasant experience all round. Good food, good service, and a good bustling atmosphere. If we 're back in Marseille we 'll be sure to visit again. Perhaps they will let me try the falafel next time! ;
Aioli is the best one i choosed. Highly recommend, you should go ealy because they are out of food around 13h30....
