Chez Emilio - Marseille

A small corner of Italian an exceptional kitchen with good products. prices a little high but compensated by the quantities.

I was visiting Marseille on tour with Celine Dion and happen to discover this incredible restaurant. I was not expecting much, as my grandparents are from Naples and I've grown up on authentic Italian cooking, nothing much impresses me. I can honestly say this was the best meal I've had in any Italian restaurant, and I tour the world and constantly sample Italian cuisine. The Burrata was, hands down, the best I've EVER had. Turns out the owner and chef Emilio drives into Italy each week to buy this from a local merchant, as well as other items he serves as he wants his meals to be authentically Italian in every way. There was more heart and love poured into the dishes I received than I've had anywhere but my grandmother's house. Everything fresh, cooked to order, nothing frozen, microwaved or pre-packaged (I learned this as the chef and his wife we incredibly generous with their time and showed me around Marseille after we became fast friends). I cannot recommend Chez Emilio any higher, it is reasonably priced with food I would pay 3x's as much for elsewhere! Do yourself a favor and visit Chez Emilio, you will not be disappointed.

What a joy to discover this address where we find all the wonderfully cooked flavors of Neapolitan cuisine. taste, sun in the plate. excellent homemade desserts. The ice creams are on their knees. the whole watered with a beautiful wine map that sublimates the proposed dishes. for those who don't know naples and its region, come, taste and you can not resist programme a trip to this beautiful destination of the southern Italian. Finally, the staff is very kind. a single flat: the price, too expensive even if the kitchen is excellent.

In addition to the amazing food, the restaurant is charming and cosy, the products are fresh and are brought back from Italy every week. Moreover, the service is great, the owners and the waitress are always ready to please you. You should definitely go, you won't be disappointed!
