The Palace Seafood Grill - Marshall

This place could definitely use an experienced cook or restaurant manager. Our server was great but the kitchen sent out mine and my wife's entrees first and our one year old's kids basket and our appetizer last. The menu also seems very confused about what type of restaurant it is. Steak and seafood place but no surf and turf options? And fried rice for a house special? Really it feels like someone wanted to open their first restaurant and just jumped in without much of a plan. The food itself wasn't bad, just a little bland. Will definitely come back, but will be waiting a bit to give the kitchen some time to get experience.

Chicken alfredo was weird. Chicken was super chewy. The sauce was super watered down and a yellow color, taste was horrible. side salads, with meal come in a tiny bowl. We ordered ranch with that and it was super runny and not flavorful. The fried shrimp basket was decent. Waitress was sitting at the bar most of the time on her phone while our drinks were empty.

The Mahi-Mahi was delicious so was the Catfish!!! Nice clean restaurant the service was excellent!!! 5 stars from me!!!

The place is well decorated. We had the seafood boil, fried oysters and shrimps basket. The Cajun boil could have been better. Mine was super salty, the sauce was very runny and again SUPER SALTY. The boil didn't have any eggs, the potatoes it came with has like a half of yellow potatoes and one sausage. This seafood boil can definitely improve with minor adjustments and add one. I was also surprise they didn't have dipping sauce to go with it like garlic butter... that was a bit disappointing. The fried shrimp and oysters was amazing! We had a side of rice that was undercooked and without much flavor. We didn't care for the rice...NEEDS MORE IMPROVEMENT and flavor. We were supposed to get fries with it but we didn't get until we reminded our waiter for it and got it after we were done eating. Our service was overall was ok. It took about 25 minutes to get our order. We ran out of water and the serves were too busy chatting at the bar and didn't bother to refill our water cups. Would I go there again, yes but I hope service would be a bit faster and the servers aren't just standing around gossiping. Also, there was a gentleman of Asian decent with long hair that was smoking a vape pen while getting are fries....MAJOR HEALTH VIOLATION.

Food has been very good both times we’ve been there. Service was really good as well! Bacon wrapped shrimp tonight was absolutely amazing! My two favorite things all in one! Calamari and alligator very good as well.
