Chan Thai - Marysville

This is my go-to thai place for this area. Everything they make there always comes out perfect. The appetizer sampler with an order of the pad thai and tom kha soup is my go to and it is consistently delicious every single time. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was good but definitely not the best Thai food we've had. The portions are on the smaller side for the price. The Calamari portion was extremely disappointing. However, the food isn't our main complaint. The server was not pleasant at all. There were only two other tables with people other than us so it wasn't extremely busy. She literally tossed everything (menus, water, food) to us. She was bothered when we asked for things (water and hot sauce). There were at least three tables that had dirty dishes on them so we couldn't sit at a booth because they hadn't been cleared.

Food wasn't as good as it looked on the menu, service was horrible, she tossed our silverware on the table, the table was sticky. Food was very pricey and the portions were small. Horrible place. Got here at 7pm and it was empty.... I was a bit surprised as it was a weekend night and i had expected the place to be full. I was promptly seated and given the menu so i can make my selections... The first thing that strikes me was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. That alone earned them a 3 star.... I ordered the Tom Yum soup and the Pineapple fried rice... Tom Yum soup tastes pretty good... The pineapple fried rice is excellent. Just the right amount of heat and crunchyness. Compliments to chef Well done!!!
