Charlie's Speakeasy - MATERA

We visited here for a quick couple of drinks in a very lively and exciting place. We even took time to have some bites to eat, very enjoyable.

We ordered off-menu rum sours, whiskey sours, gin sours and something else sours. They were awesome and the guy behind the bar was very cool and friendly.

After a great day with nice food, great view in Matera we try to end the day smoothly with a beer. Thought this would bei easy peasy but not in this bar. First I ordered 3 beers from the tap they gave me one bottle of beer. After my little note that I like to have 3 beer the offer me 2 bottles of beer and told me they are running out of beer. I paid 10 €, normally smal beer cost 2-4€ in a restaurant max. So we enjoyed with 3 people 2 bottles of beer outside in their garden at the street side. After some minutes saw some other guest getting new beers from the bar. Never been fooled like this before. Sorry guys if you are not ready so selling beer to any tourist just tell them instead of trying to wind them up. Love the town and hate this bar

Environment with character, beautiful music and excellent selection of rhyme

We were hit by this place, very nice and wanted. So we decided to spend a night there. the position did not disappoint our expectations: decorated and furnished with goto, with a beautiful atmosphere, also thanks to an excellent musical selection. the prices are above the average of matera, but perhaps justifiable given the position. I must point out however that we have taken a bottle of wine, paid six times its actual price and equally expensive cutter, given the nature and quantity of food. My general judgment is very positive. However, I would recommend that owners/mangers value prices or regulate the quality of the current price range.
