Gnam Gnam Steakhouse - MATERA

What a special place with a super friendly service and different sorts of excellent Italian meat! And the prices are very, very reasonable for what you get. We really enjoyed it there :

A name, a guarantee! All really really good, great choice and absolute transparency, especially during preparation and cooking. The restaurant is new and scrupulously follows all Covid-19 prevention regulations, starting from the sanitizing gel at the entrance and completing with distancing and masks worn by each waiter/chef/attendant. I'll be clear, I'm a person who often travels for work and I love eating, especially meat, but quality as high as that offered by this steakhouse is really, really rare, I will definitely go back. PS: friendly, helpful but above all competent staff!

Searching on Google for a steakhouse to eat REAL meat I came across this place which featured fine cuts and very high quality meat, evidently only a change in management explains this decline, rather than decline a real oblivion in the darkness. First impression, cold place but really cold in the middle of January, dirty and wet water glass, the waiter doesn't bring us any menu, the only prices we were aware of were the €20 and €25 for the fixed menu (very questionable). Or choose from the meat counter (without prices). The semi-empty meat counter with very low quality meat and calvé sauces opened and left at random, in the end we come across the cut that seemed the least worst, two 400g steaks, without the waiter asking for any cooking, while waiting we always ask Having read the appetizers available, little choice, we choose to try the carpaccio, the carpaccio was literally FROZEN, you could feel the pieces of ice, it's a shame that even after waiting 10 minutes it didn't manage to thaw, because the place is really cold. The steak arrives quickly, I don't know what happened to that poor steak, served on lava stone, too bad we didn't have any plate, but we had to cut the steak with normal knives (scratching the lava stone which releases toxic substances) which in the meantime was cooking the meat, becoming almost inedible, as soon as we had eaten the food, we disappeared, paying a very high bill for an ICE-COLD carpaccio, a steak cooked badly and served even worse, a beer for two, a water €45, I really don't know where the good reviews come from, be careful and stay away from this place, I highly recommend it for your safety. I've never written negative reviews, but you deserve them all. TO NEVER AGAIN

Nice sandwich with chopped, mushrooms, cured, onion with sauce made by them, both sweet and spicy. delicious bread, even if it is not made by them. so fantastic experience, to return and I highly recommend it. Good.
