Osteria Dei Sassi - MATERA

The small hike worth our stay, the lobster pasta dish was not on the menu, but the waiter was very accommodating to organize this for us anyway. It was delicious. He even suggested that we cut back to the order of the duck when he insisted that the pasta would be enough (good call). The Tiramisu was probably one of the best I tried. Very recommended.

Food was moderate wine was fine, but expensive in relation to other restaurants in the area. Service was exceptionally bad. We ordered a secondary court that didn't arrive and we had to ask 3 times for the bill. After half an hour we gave up and just left our money on the table. I wouldn't recommend this place to the tourists. Locals seemed to get a great service.

The place is okay, nothing too special. The food was mediocre with not too much taste. A bit disappointing for such a high rated place. The service is also a little slow.

Conveniently located restaurant, easy to reach. Great welcome from the staff, comfortable and quite reserved tables being available inside other rooms. The cuisine is truly remarkable, refined dishes despite the use of local raw materials. Result: exceptional ... Great flavors and good at serving. Pizza is also available for lunch. Wine list to applause, also thanks to the professionalism and competence of Gianluca, who drives this place with passion.
