My go to place in Marikina. Great food and pleasant staff. My favorite is the calamares and lechon sisig : Minus 1 star just because I noticed that they lessened their serving per viand so that makes me a little sad ;
Food-4 Ordered classis kare kare, crispy pata, bulalo and kalkag rice. Crispy pata was crunchy on the outside but the meat was tender and moist. Downside: the sauce lacks onions. Mej konti lang yung meat but that's typical of criapy pata naman. I guess. Kare kare- beef was tender. Ox tripe and balat ng baka, sobrang soft. Overall, meat was prepared well. And the bagoong, it sooooo good even on its own. You can ask for a second helping too! Downside: kare kare lacked the nutty raste from peanut paste. Mej its on the sweet side. Dunno if thats just their style though. Bulalo- sweet, lasang corn, not fatty but the meat was superb kasi alam mong niluto ng matagal kasi yung cut ng meat includes the tendon pa talaga but they made it super soft almost like you wont notice youre eating tendon. tendon ba yon? Hahaha) Kalkag rice- do not order if youre trying to cut down on carbs. Grabe. Service-3 kinda slow service. : staff are not that attentive. Ambience- 4 cute interior kaso the tables are small if group kayo. :
If there is any restaurant that represented the best that Filipino can offer, it would definitely be Comedor. I love their sizzling Kare-kare, lengua, bacon liempo as well as their fresh lumpia.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Food here is AMAZING!! The place is great too. The ambience is relaxing perfect for gatherings or small get togethers. Even if you just wanna catch up with your bffs while having great food, this is the perfect place. Staff is friendly, and service is fast. I recommend the oyster-mari sisig.
