Fantastic restaurant, great for a authentic Portuguese experience

This restaurant was kindly recommended to us by a local gentleman. And we were not disappointed! The restaurant is not big and was full all the time. And we were the only foreigners which is very indicative. The menu is not long which I find very convenient. They have both fish and meat, as well as some simple starters. We ordered sardines (10 euro) and dorado (20). Portions are huge and fisch is super fresh! Boiled potatoes and an appetizer of olives and paprika are also served with the main dishes. They also have green wine (vinho verde) at a very good price.

Typical restaurant. Not too complicated but very good food. Correctly priced. We went with a local guy, asked what fish they had, saw the seabrass and ordered 3 fishes for 5 people.

Simple, local restaurant full of locals eating regular local dishes. Menu is short, changing daily based on availability of ingrediants. Fried sardines were great, dorada excellent, salmon nicely grilled. Side dishes were potatos, onion, pepper and olives. Service was very fast and efficent not so easy considering restaurant was full. If you want to eat fresh, not complicated, tasty Portugieses food in simple yet cosy interior its place for you. Be prepared for rather noisy environment locals enjoy their time and are full of life especially if food is tasty.
