We wandered around matosinhos when we discovered a simple sign for this restaurant at the corner of rua sao pedro. it is a very simple opportunity, but the owner and cook knows his seafood. we had a mixture of sardines and sea bass with boiled carrots and an salate. we enjoyed the meal and a few bottles of vino verde.
Yummy fresh sardines with potatoes. friendly service and delicious wine. more remarkable place in porto.
This small, traditional restaurant served the reception of the day, where the sardines are on the menu above. everything was prepared and cooked with the speed while watching it. the interieur is clean and functional, but the people just go to eat! it had. a beautiful buzz," was mainly native and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. our sardines were perfect and the wine surprisingly good. it's hidden on a side street, but it's worth the search.
Wandering through Matosinhos on the outskirts of Porto we came across this genuine local fish restaurant, located in a back lane. The other patrons were obviously from the area and not accustomed to seeing people from elsewhere in this place. Our lunch was excellent and...exactly what we were hoping for. Fresh grilled sardines, boiled potatoes, grilled peppers in oil and tomato salad, preceded by breads, olives and oil and washed down with a decent white wine. All at reasonable prices and in an unpretentious setting. The most satisfying meal of our entire stay in Porto
