Mr Tokyo Japanese - Matthews

I have visited Mr. Tokyo three times now. I prefer to try a restaurant multiple times before writing a review to ensure consistency. Each time I've been there, the food has been delicious, and the service outstanding. The unlimited meal offerings include soups, salads, appetizers, hibachi, teriyaki, and much more. The sushi selection is extensive. A good strategy is to order a little at a time to avoid leftovers, and you can take your time dining; they don't rush you at all. By opting for smaller portions, you can be sure to finish everything you order. Given the rising cost of food, their pricing is fantastic. At another sushi restaurant I visit, I pay $20 for just two rolls, so I can see why Mr. Tokyo charges for leftovers or items to take home.

We really enjoy the variety and pricing here. The staff is friendly, and we’ve only encountered an issue once in the 10+ times we’ve visited. They offer additional options for dinner, which is nice. While the dinner prices are double that of lunch, it’s still reasonable given the generous portions. My daughters love the miso soup and crab salad. We usually leave feeling full and even skip breakfast to save room for brunch here!

A true treasure for sushi enthusiasts! The all-you-can-eat rolls, which include specialty options, are fresh and delicious, along with a variety of appetizers, soup, and salad. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and offers plenty of parking, all at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and exceptionally attentive. I will definitely be returning!

We heard a-lot about this place esp the mathews branch and all for the right reasons. The ambience, service and food is top notch. We were in sushi heaven as the all you can eat sushis are well curated, filling and flavorful. The trick is to order slowly and fill yourself up because they charge you extra $0.50-$3.00 depending on the type of sushis that are leftover. Note rest of the items even if left out are not charged. Good thing is you are allowed to take the leftovers at home to munch in so it’s a winwin for all : all in all a wonderful experience with friends!!

Matthews location … popular… very popular… means very good value! Took my daughter and there was a waiting line … very nice hostess took our phone number and number of guests … she estimated 15 minutes of wait for us … Wow we were entered into a great online tool they use which showed exactly where we and all others stood in order … and the tool even shows each party waiting and how long they have waited… Eight minutes later BAM we were in! Amazing experience Sure this is popular and now we know why!
