Low Country Shrimper - Mauldin

This is an awesome place for seafood. They have some very reasonably priced lunch specials, and the larger, dinner size meals are a good bargain as well. One of their specialties is shrimp and grits, which I had a taste of my sister’s. It was yummy! I ordered a shrimp and fish plate, which was absolutely delicious. Everything seemed to be prepared fresh, and was served piping hot, as it should be. Great restaurant!

Don’t normally think catfish and shrimp for lunch but I’m going to now after eating at Low Country Shrimper. Place is chil with a sweet vibe from a super helpful staff serving very generous portions. I think the owner came by twice to check on us and every staff person asking if we needed anything else. I would check it out if I were you. I would give it a 5 but I reserve that for places that completely shock you and surprise you with food, service and ambiance.

Great locally owned restaurant!! This place is a hidden gem in a nondescript strip mall. Friendly service and the best seafood this side of coast. The owner checks on us every time we visit. You have to give this place a try.

I have to say that I was honestly impressed. Fried food has a tendency of being bland but this place was anything but. Everything was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Everything tasted better than expected. I'll DEFINITELY be back and highly recommend the place as a foodie, local, and as a personal recommendation to anyone that has a love of seafood done right. Grww up on the Frogmore Ladies Island area of the lowcountry and this some of the best seafood I've had since living there.
