Kaum Bali - Maumere

We absolutely loved Kaum. Located on the second floor of Potato Head beach club, Kaum overlooks the club and the beach and serves Balinese and Indonesian fare. Some of the best service I've had at any restaurant, period. We had 5:30 reservations and watched a beautiful sunset over the beach. We have a four year old so the early seating worked well for us. Classy but not stuffy. Highly recommend going with one of the course menus. The one we went with was about 340k IDR, which, while not cheap, is a much better value than we'd seen for other set menus in Bali. Can't recommend Kaum enough!

Really delicious and authentic indonesian dishes inside the famous Potato Head beach club. All 9 dishes we ordered were amazing but their shrimps dumplings, duck and fish cakes were among my favorites. Very highly recommend if you'd like try more refined indonesian cuisine!

What an awesome meal we had!!! Totally unexpected considering it is within Potato Head, a very westernized establishment. Every dish (we had the Indonesian Journey was bursting with flavours...all the herbs and spices that you would expect from an authentic Indonesian cuisine. Love the view and pre-dinner drinks at the outdoor area too. The Kopi Martini was especially good.

Top restaurant located above the potato Head. Super happening place below where all the hotel guests are enjoying their time next to the beach. Relaxed hotel above with authentic Indonesian food, and great service. You will enjoy the spice! We had the fried shrimp, jackfruit appetizer with a spicy sambal and a rice dish (forgot the name)!
