Noodle Canteen - Maungakiekie-Tamaki

I attempted to call the restaurant twice, just 20 minutes before closing, but my calls were ignored. I decided to drive there anyway and parked outside. One of the staff members signaled to me that they were closed. The doors were still open, and they could have easily prepared my food in the 20 minutes they had left. If a restaurant advertises a closing time of 9:30, it seems fair to expect them to continue serving food until that time, right? Just a tip: make sure to arrive at least two hours before they close, or you might not be served.

I just want to start by saying that I really love their food! My favorite dish is the honey chicken noodles. However, this was my first visit to this location, and I faced some issues. I tried calling twice about 20 minutes before closing time, but my calls were ignored. We were just two minutes away, so we decided to call ahead. When I parked outside, one of the staff members gestured wildly with her hands to indicate that they were closing. The doors were still open, and they could have easily prepared my food in the time left before their stated closing time. If a restaurant claims to be open until 9:30 PM, it seems reasonable to expect that they won't stop taking orders until that time. So, I would recommend arriving at least two hours before closing if you want to ensure you get served.

I had the Curry Seafood Laksa tonight, and oh my gosh, I nearly fell off my chair it was so good! It's like the quality has improved since the lockdown. A+!

This is one of the best noodle restaurants I've ever visited. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient! The sweet and sour pork is absolutely amazing—definitely worth the trip from town!
