The chips could be better the cost is over the top.

Ignore the 5 star ratings this place has, it used to be good but that was under previous ownership. Absolutely shocking. This used to be the best fish and chip place in town but my god it's fallen so far. The new owners are understaffed, unprepared and completely out of their depth.Came here, ordered and paid. As I sat down I heard customers asking for the most basic fish, which you'd expect to be stocked for a busy Friday night, only to be turned away; I counted four customers this happened to. Forty-five minutes later my order still has not come through. I had a complete sense of humor failure and just walked out.Avoid like your life depends on it. I'd head to Funky Fish in Redwoodtown if I were you.

They just need to update their business hours on Google here. I called from Australia to see if I could make a booking for a Sunday evening for when we fly in. Of course they're not open. Oh well

Poor fish and chips! Do not recommend. Bring back old owners!

Worst fish chips takeaway on the South Island! Asked for grilled fish and ended up with a 2cm thick overcooked battered fish dripping with stale oil and chips were also horribly overcooked! Very small menu scratched out on the overhead board with no prices at all. Definitely would not recommend!
