Honey Doo's Cafe - MAYNOOTH

Nice little country restaurant where we often go for lunch. Decided to go for breakfast when the cottage power was out. It was expensive and not very good. Ham was greasy, home fries are now a frozen potatoes hash brown. Eggs also were very greasy. Service is impeccable and friendly. Will stick to going for lunch in the future.

Quiet, quaint, old world charm is what you can expect from this Restaurant, which is like a "Flash-From-The-Past". If you're a 4-Wheeler, or Snowmobiler, you will be excited to know that this Restaurant is right on the Trail -ie: Open during all 4 seasons, and conveniently located on the B106E Snowmobile Trail, less than a Km NW of the junction with the E109 trail. The B106E becomes an ATV run when the snowmobile trail is closed.Woo Hoo ! . . .

I stopped at the cafe for a breakfast to go when staying near Maynooth and realized nothing is open for breakfast in Maynooth! What an unexpected surprise! The owners are lovely, the decore is a step back in time and the butter tarts really are the best I've tasted. Take the time to stop if you can. My breakfast to go was great. Will try more of the menu the next time I'm in the area! Thank you Honey Doo!

On our way to Couples Resort by motorcycle we decided to take a break for a drink at the Honeydoo Cafe. As we pulled in we noticed a sign for a indoor yard sale inside as well. As we walked in with the wooden screen door slamming behind us we were transported back in time. Oldies music from the 50's-60's was playing and the place was chock full of nic nacs and other 'yard sale items'. The half dozen or so tables were clean and inviting and we decided to have a seat. Checking the menu I decided to have a toasted western and drink which was served hot and promptly by the apparent owner. Just a great stop for quick meal or pop. Loved it!

I simply love HoneyDoos! It's just like going home to Mom. :) It's been a while since I've felt so comfortable in such a little out of the way place... But it's right on the sled trails and is our destination for many a ride. The food is always great, they cater to sledders and are just so wonderful, I can't say enough. I WILL be back next year (and the year after that, and the year after that...) for sure.
