The portions are small also . So it is now Easter Sunday my third time changing this review to one star because the girl is constantly rude and does not put in orders the staff does not care about you unfortunately unless it seems like you are their own kind go someplace else unless you want to wait 2 hours to just put in a takeout order of a few tacos absolutely ridiculous then I sit inside for 20 minutes trying to place an order and they rudely ignored me
The flavors and portions were over the top. Zero stars on the service. We were on the second basket of chips when the waitress finally brought us our drinks. Refills never came. The Viejo Burrito was delicious. Some of the orders were not correct but we were afraid to ask them to fix it because of the time. From the time we sat down to the time we got our food, it was just over an hour! I probably won't ever eat in again but I'd try take out. I don't want to gig the place solely on a poor server. Locals tell me this was not typical.
Two of us had lunch specials (quesadillas taquitos) one had street tacos. They were all excellent! Well worth the drive. We didn't have any of the dinners but they all looked good. My son says the big burrito is really good.
We are here camping and wanted to get a Valentines dinner. We stopped in, and the service was great. The food was good. Would go back. It is a cute little place.
This is a very basic Mexican restaurant. It was nothing fancy but the only game in town. The poor waitress was trying to cover all the customers in the place. We had a larger group so she was doing her best. The staff was friendly but it took quite awhile for all of our food to come out.If you drink, there is a limited beer choice and that's about it. We actually brought our own drinks and wine with us which they said was fine.Do not order the Mi Viejo burrito. It is very plain and dry. The others in our group seemed to like their choices...mainly the fajitas dishes. The guacamole was awesome!Mayo is a small town and restaurants are few and far between. Go into Mi Viejo with a laid back attitude without great expectations and you will be fine.Parking: There is no outdoor lighting after dark in the walk to the parking lot or in the parking lot. Bring your phone flashlight to find your way. This could be very dangerous for older or handicapped people. I couldn't believe it!
