Chris Elbe's Steakhouse - Mayodan

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Although some reviews had me feeling a bit anxious, we decided to give it a try. The food was delightful, and the children's menu offered a nice variety that both kids enjoyed. The salads were generously portioned and fresh, while the steaks were well-seasoned. Additionally, the service was quick and friendly! The location might deter some due to its somewhat hidden entrance, but I would definitely recommend checking this place out. It truly exceeded my expectations!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was charming and rustic, and on a cool, humid evening, the fireplace added a cozy and romantic touch. The food quality was top-notch, complemented by great service and an inviting ambiance. Chris Elbies has quickly become a strong contender for our favorite dinner spot, and we can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. If you haven't visited Chris Elbies yet, you really should! We're giving it 5.5 stars, and we plan to return quite frequently!

We arrived just after the lunch buffet technically ended, but the staff kindly allowed us to enjoy the buffet anyway. Although we didn't select the buffet, it still looked very appealing. My steak was cooked to perfection (which can be hit or miss), and the side salad was truly impressive. It wasn’t just a tiny bowl of lettuce with a couple of croutons and a sprinkle of cheese; it was a substantial salad. The meal, including an appetizer and a children's plate, was only $45, which I found quite reasonable. The staff was excellent—it's been a while since I've encountered such polite service. I didn't have to ask for refills or anything else. This is a fantastic addition to the area! Thank you for the warm hospitality. The owner was also very pleasant. I look forward to exploring more items on the menu next time. The chicken channels were both convenient and delicious!

We visited the weekend and the food and service were wonderful! We had the “Täterkeile” as an appetizer and pulled pork with fried Okra and Koleslaw and a cheeseburger with fries. Everything had great taste. Nice to see this place open again. We look forward to returning.

The food was amazing the staff was awesome and on point. Didn't wait long and the food couldn't have been better!!! If you haven't already tried this place then you better go try it!!!!
