Boxcar Barney's - MAYVILLE

We LOVE Boxcar Barney?s and go several times a week while we are at Chautauqua. You have delicious ice cream (hershey?s, I think), tons of great flavors, and huge portions for very reasonable prices. Your service can be a little slow, especially soon after dinner. Nevertheless, we are happy to wait 20 minutes to get this excellent ice cream!

I'm so glad I took the advice of another reviewer and got the ice flight! At $6 for 4 flavors, you really get your money worth (and then some). I couldn't even choose a favorite taste because all 4 were both interesting and delicious. Go for dinner and just dive here!

If you like homemade hard packed ice cream and treats, you need to eat here. The portions are MASSIVE and the variety of flavors is also very good. I ordered a 3 cup cone and each cup is probably half a pint!? Every penny worth it.

Missing a star for no cherries. No cherries!? What's up with that? As far as everything else, the staff was super friendly and fast. The line was to the road and the wait was less then 20 minutes. It was very reasonable. The lady at the register was super nice. Banana split was amazing. Try a banana split with brownie ice cream and carmel.

Large portions. 2 scoop hard ice cream too much to finish, awesome!!! Medium soft serve is a tower of luscious delight! Great value, pleasant employees! Wonderful experience! Highly recommended x6!
