Mets et Plaisirs - Mazamet

The staff was friendly. The decor was a little surprising for this part of France (good). We went to the proposal of our innkeeper. The menu this night was a mixture of old (roasted pigeon breast) and more modern...table. The food was well prepared and cheap.

We went to this beautiful restaurant last week on the recommendation of our hotel host and we were not disappointed. The furnishings and ambience are fantastic with a choice of food inside or outside on summer evenings. We decided inside when we loved the funky, modern look. The service was excellent; friendly and yet very professional. I am surprised by the comments of a previous reviewer about a missing menu in English. Why? Use a dictionary, learn such French or simply take a punt! The food was delicious; fantastic and with a good use of seasonal and local products. The dessert, a Grand Marnier Soufflé was a triumph. All in all an excellent experience and we will definitely return at our next visit to Mazamet!

We have been in Mazamet several times and had noticed what seemed to be an ordinary hotel. This year there was the addition of a modern and airy restaurant. Recommended by our hosts in La Villa and proved to be a great choice. Good choice on the menu and we had a meal of very high quality. Worth a visit, but book in advance.

Beautiful revealing and very inexpensive. Great wine list. I wish our French would be a little better, as communication was a bit difficult, but the staff was as helpful as possible. The only negative is, it felt a little strange the openness of the restaurant, I felt as if I was fed in the foyer or in the lobby and the lighting was a little bright. Maybe some partitions could help create something more intimate ambience.

A gorgeous surprise in a gorgeous French village. A modern restaurant with innovative fresh well prepared food. Can highly recommend .
