Feedback gevenI went to Holly Mole Pozole last winter in February for breakfast and it was very delicius and the price was good, the service exelent, but now it is close.
Four of us enjoyed a great lunch today at Holly's for 325 pesos, about $21. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent with a lovely presentation. We want to take every meal here from now on!
We ate at Holly Mole Pozole last night for a friends Birthday and i found it to be excellent quality and value which was a surprise considering it's proximity to the Machado (main square) which is normally expensive (because it's so picturesque) The restaurant was really nicely done with pretty tables outside. Very clean bathrooms. Helpful, competent, friendly staff that were happy to accommodate our and encourage our limited Spanish.I have 3 1/2 yrs in Mexico and believe i have a good feel for Mexican food now. I feel the food here was authentic and good quality - with a difference - the vegetarian options! I was able to have my 1st Pozole. The restaurant offers a good range of fish, vegetable, and meat and Chicken dishes. Based on other comments i advised my friend to have the mixiote which they thought was delicious. What a treat - impressed.
Un lugar muy barato tranquilo agradable buen servicio y cosas diferentes de buen gusto ! En concreto un excelente lugar para comer
Holly Mole and Pozole is one of those rare finds in a big city: small, unassuming, very friendly staff, excellent food and good prices. We have had the pleasure of eating here a couple of weeks ago and will be returning on Feb. 21 for another fabulous breakfast before we go to our Sunday afternoon concert at the Angela Peralta Theater. We were able to find everything we wanted easily on the menu, order, be served and ready to walk to the APT in under one hour - a feat in most Mexican restaurants. The omelets are super-sized - I can make 3 meals out of it. There is a great variety of fillings...........you also have a couple of sides with the omelet. Included in the price is coffee (very good, too) or a glass of juice. All for $55 MXN. A friend had 3 large, thick pancakes with all the usual condiments: butter, jam, honey and syrup. A steal at $35 MXN. We haven't been there yet for dinner or lunch, however after the concert series ends, we will venture out for an evening to sample that menu. Not sure if the spelling HOLLY is a mistake, so we just call it Holy Mole. It is not unusual to find some interesting misspelling of English words here in Mazatlan. We will ask about that next time we go for breakfast. Being only 1/2 block off the Plaza Machado, Holy Mole is a super place for a quiet meal. Now having said this, I hope it does not become too crowded, yet I wish the owners well with their new endeavor.
