We love the Pine Lodge! It's always on the list of restaurants to go to when we're in Deep Creek. The interior of the restaurant provides such a lovely atmosphere. I love the fire in the fireplace. Wow, what a huge disappointment! We were celebrating a big event and had hopes for a great fine dining experience. It started with a hike up a bunch of stairs to get to the table (no table cloth or even cloth napkins). We then met our inexperienced waitress who had an obvious attitude and offered no specials or bread. She totally ignored us when we told her we were celebrating an 80th birthday.When she finally served our plates to us, she passed them across the table. The filet was not of good quality for the price. It actually has gristle. Do not waste your money.

We came hoping to enjoy a delicious steak. We felt unwelcome from the greeting to the leaving. The staff was unprofessional, did not consider offering a way for my 80 year to avoid the massive stairs to get up to the dining room. Then after being seated the waitress failed to discuss specials or offer bread, she barely greeted us. Our table all ordered filets and when they came out they were low grade cuts, with some crazy and overpowering butter with spices on top of the steaks. It actually ruined the low grade more than it helped. I could have had a better steak at outback for a way lower cost. The waitress failed to check on our table and had to be retrieved by another waiter. She never offered dessert and failed to recognize that we were celebrating a birthday, despite us telling her when we first spoke with her. Please save yourself some money and a bad experience and go somewhere else.
