Mainly because there were reviews from other people who are Japanese and lived in Japan previously and they said the broth here is comparable to what they ate in Japan. Also because some reviewers mentioned the chef is from Japan and cooked there for 20 years. I know they don't take reservations and it can get busy on the weekends so that was another reason I hadn't stopped by until recently. We ordered takoyaki and shisito pepper for appetizers. I usually order tsukemen (the dipping ramen), but I wanted to try their broth so I ordered the miso ramen and ordered an egg and corn/butter on the side (it doesn't come with an egg). The broth was so good! Perfectly salty. And the egg perfectly jammy. Note that there are actually three sizes of bowls to choose from which I really appreciate because usually the one size bowls at other ramen restaurants is too much for me. I got the medium size, but I think next time I will order a small size. The sample size bowls are on the side on top of a space divider. My husband ordered the tonkatsu bento box (he watches his carbs) and I think my son ordered tonkatsu with rice. They both enjoyed their meals. For dessert we ordered the crepe mille..also good!I saw a vegetarian ramen on the menu and it seemed to not have a meat based broth ..just fyi for vegetarians. This is now my favorite ramen restaurant that is not too far from me. I will definitely be back!
Got the regular sized shoyu and spicy miso ramens. Regular size is smaller than a normal bowl of ramen. Both ramens flavor were pretty mid. I prefer Kizuna across the street. They validate parking but only if you park in the public garage in the same block. They don’t validate the other public garages that are owned by the same company.
I’m Japanese.Japanese chef is here! It’s a big deal!“Irasshaimase” welcomes you as you walk in. Also a big deal. Right?I ordered Kaki-fry Teishoku. So good. The pickled cucumber came with the Teishoku was also so good. Perfect.I’m fully satisfied with the restaurant and want to come back again.
First time here and will def be back!Staff were friendly and helpful.Food was really good and the bowls on the ledge helped guide us to choose appropriate sizes.
I love the ramen here, their food is amazing. But every time I go there, I get a bad bowel movement and go to the restroom. It may be the tap water? I am not so sure... friends I'd go with were fine.. except those ones with sensitive stomachs.
