Golden Chick - McAllen

Golden Chick is one of my favorite places to get golden chicken tenders. Their restaurant is always remarkably clean, their employees are very helpful and friendly, and their chicken and sides are always cooked to perfection and is always very tasty too.

I love the crunchy ice nuggets so much. I must confess that's my favorite item. I always have a bag of crunchy ice in my freezer at work and at home. 2nd favorite is the roasted chicken by the piece, both white and dark. And then of course the rolls are probably the best in the Nation.

This place never disappoints. Whether you're taking to go like I did, or even in the restaurant. This has become my only go to chicken place.

First visit. The fish was great. They don't make it until you order but the wait is well worth it.

Hands down, I like their fried chicken better than Church's!! I also love their fried catfish and their fresh rolls are to die for!! I highly recommend trying Golden Chick!!
