Starlite Burger - McAllen

I wasn't even on the 23rd street, and I'm glad I left. I have tried almost everything on their menu, remember that they have been open for about 50 years. they have fried chicken and fried fish or garnel on the menu. I decided to have a double pattie burger with cheese, extra pickles, and of course salat, tomato and wobble, it was a really good burger. I picked up some fried burritos for my friend, although I was under the impression was a fried burrito is a chimey-changa. a thing that I absolutely love to order at starlight burger is made most of all. I recommend a try to them, they will be in Burger-Bliss.

No complaints, everything was fine, everything tasted fine. But, we ordered cheese burger combos and the burgers did not taste the same. Starlite burgers used to have a distinct and delicious taste that could not be substituted by any other ...when we craved Starlite burger we had to get Starlite burgers.

I can appreciate the cheap prices for sure, but the burrito is obviously bought frozen, the wieners for the hot dogs are super cheap, and the burger is clearly bought frozen, too. Still great flavors, but you gotta know what you're buying. Overall, not bad experience.

People in there were coughing and it was unnerving to say the least. Hadn't eaten there in years and was feeling nostalgic but regret my decision. Burger was just as I remember it, average. Fries were still good and greasy.

It definitely wasn’t a bad place to eat.. The only thing I will say is that the fries and the tater tot‘s are a little too greasy for my personal taste… I mean I understand that is fried and it’s going to be greasy… But it just seem to me like they pulled it out a few minutes early while it was still saturated.. I would probably go back for the burger… But I probably wouldn’t order the tater tot’s or fries again… Plus they don’t do refills because of Covid… I mean I get it… But all these other restaurants are doing refills, so I’m a little confused… But whatever… Ultimately I wasn’t dissatisfied… But I’m just not a loyal customer for life based off of my first experience.. I will most likely go back and try one more time just to make sure… Because it is actually a pretty cool little joint..
