Burra Burra On The River - McCaysville

Our party of 4 arrived 15 minutes after opening and the whole inside of the restaurant was empty. As we proceeded to the host stand they told us that the whole restaurant was reserved... no explanation or anything. Then I went on my phone and made a reservation with open table and we were sat 30 minutes later. However upon arriving to our online reservation the host was very stand-offish and almost seemed mad that she had to give us a table. She sat there for a couple minutes just looking at the reservation and finally put us outside on the patio for a table big enough for 7 people. Our service was great our waitress was lovely but our initial experience was a train wreck. I suggest not going at 11:00 due to the train because if you're not part of it they will deny you at the host stand. This was on a Sunday.

We have been to Burra Burra many times and typically LOVE IT. This time we visited on Sunday, October 1 and it was very apparent that something was horribly wrong. The man in front of us in line was turned away because every table was reserved . We had a reservation so we got seated, but there were MANY open tables and some were stacked with dirty dishes. (During our entire visit, the tables around us were empty) People were sending food back to the kitchen several times because it was undercooked. Food was being delivered to the wrong table and then delivered to another table. It took over an hour to get our food. The wait staff was clearly angry and frustrated. This visit was not a pleasant experience.

Came here for lunch at it was great! Wanted to come back another night for dinner and it was very different experience and seemed short staffed for a Friday night.

We most always go on Wednesday night for the half off on burgers and sandwiches. Carolyn is the best waitress ever.

Food quality poor and over priced. Won't be coming back.
